Tell Sen. de Leon: Stop non-profit hospitals from putting PROFITS before patient care

Non-profit hospitals in California have made a mockery of their tax-exempt status for far too long. Every year these so-called charitable hospitals bring home billions of dollars in profits, avoid billions in taxes, and cheat poor communities out of desperately needed care. It’s outrageous and we must have the courage to hold these hospitals accountable! Sign the petition to stop non-profit hospitals from robbing taxpayers blind.

We must act now and demand our leaders in Washington stand up for the rights of women and support a bill that was just introduced to override the disastrous Hobby Lobby decision.

Tell the FTC: Stop CarMax from putting profits before people

CarMax -- the biggest used car retailer in the country -- gives consumers the impression that it's done everything possible to make a used car safe -- claiming that their “certified” cars have undergone a rigorous, “125+ point inspection.” But according to The New York Times, "CarMax's 'Certified Quality Inspection'...does not include fixing recalls." Meanwhile, they took in nearly $11 billion in revenue last year. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has the power to fight back and stop CarMax's dangerously deceptive advertising practices. But they will only act if they hear from people like YOU who have the courage to care.
