Tell the House: ban insider trading, pass the STOCK Act!
The STOCK Act, which bans insider trading of corporate stocks by members of Congress, just passed the Senate, but the House may not take it up for a vote. The bill also makes it illegal for members of Congress to tip off others, and requires disclosure of stock trades by all members of Congress within 30 days. Let's let the sunshine in on who's cozy with Wall Street and making a nice profit, while the rest of us are left in the lurch.
In last week's State of the Union, President Obama said: "Send me a bill that bans insider trading by members of Congress; I will sign it tomorrow."
Let's make House Republican leadership show which side they are on: Wall Street or Main Street? Sign our urgent petition calling on the House to pass the STOCK Act!
