Enough is enough: Release the Prop 8 Trial tapes!
ProtectMarriage.com and the National Organization for Marriage are trying to stop Judge Walker from showing video clips of the trial over which he himself presided. Forget the clips: it's time the American public viewed the whole thing. Democracy and transparency deserve no less, especially more than a year after the trial transpired in Judge Walker's courtroom.
A year ago, 138,451 Courage Campaign members, together with CREDO Action, supported releasing the videos in a case that went all the way to the Supreme Court. It's time to show how many people support transparency again. Justice Brandeis said it best: "Sunlight is the best disinfectant." And it's time to let the sunshine in on the Prop 8 trial to wash away the stain of that law on California's books.
Join the Courage Campaign in asking the 9th Circuit Court to release the Prop 8 Trial videos to the public. We'll deliver your signatures along with our formal letter to the Court.
