MILK Screening to Support Marriage Equality and Repeal Prop 8 @ Alhambra Edwards Renaissance Stadium 14
(MILK + Love)
Join others to support our LGBT family members and friends for one of many events in the campaign to support marriage equality and to repeal Proposition 8.
Come see MILK, a powerful film about the life of the late Harvey Milk, openly gay, former San Francisco supervisor who was murdered in 1978. Harvey was all about bringing communities together: communities of color, labor, progressives, seniors, disabled as well as the LGBT community on important issues.
We are building a similar coalition to support marriage equality. Join us at this screening and sign the pledge to repeal Prop 8 and restore marriage equality to California. We will attend the 1:10 show time. Guests are responsible for purchasing their own tickets at the theater.
Following the screening, you are invited to join one of the LIGHT UP THE NIGHT vigils at 5 p.m. at the corner of Colorado Blvd. and Fair Oaks in Pasadena. Candlelight vigils are being held in cities across the country in vigil for the rights of 18,000 same-sex couples who married and look forward to the day when those rights are available again - for EVERYONE.
Purchase your tickets at the box office. Tickets are $9.00 adults and $8.00 seniors 60 and over. This is an R rated film. Please check in with Conrado, Ken or one of our volunteers by the box office or in the screening room to get your MILK + Love name tag and to sign the pledge.
