I would like to step up and openly support repealing proposition 8 in one of those last ditch efforts/ideas to help in the legalization of gay marriage. I am a writer and activist by the name of Carmelo Valone and my fiancé is a celebrity make-up artist by the name of Victoria Rowe. Both of us have attended many protests on behalf of the banning of Prop 8 and now I'd like to hopefully bring it all to a new level with a few ideas, if you will take a few minutes and listen....

In the last few weeks, and months I have had many thoughts on how we could help the cause-what I mainly have come up with is-a boycott on all marriage until gay marriage is passed. I would love to spearhead a campaign and call out to other heterosexual couples to just not get married. This to me seems like the only option right now, to hit the State of California where they will feel it the most-their wallets as well as their hearts.

Imagine if not one person in the state of California didn't get married out of respect of the struggles of the gay/lesbian-bi-transgender? How great would that be? What would it say to the world? It would say so very much. But alas I am just one man and would need some help in starting this movement. I am positive though there are other couples like us that feel basically like us-that feel like to get married right now would just be a selfish and self serving act-it would show a lack of consideration for all of those before us that cannot do it legally.
