I wasn't sure what to expect at this boot camp or the previous Camp Courage. Both were amazing experiences. It is very exciting to see such a diverse group of enthusiastic, motivated, energized, talented people. I could keep going with such adjectives.
One major thing I learned which is also pretty typical of what I see the Democrats in office having this same issue is that we have the same ultimate goal but there are a lot of ideas on how to get there. We need to get better at taking the best parts and implementing them.
One thing that happened is that people were willing to check their egos in most situations and are willing to work together.
The guest speakers were very motivating. Each one brought their own experiences and really enlightened the group.
I will look forward to future boot camps and also want to thank all the speakers who took time out of their busy lives to join us for this event.
