Our government needs a total overhaul.

Until we take the money out of politics, we will continue to get whatever those with the most money want to let us have. No politician should ever be allowed to accept money from any individual, corporation, lobbyist, or special interest, under any circumstances. Pay them all well, finance all campaigns with public funds - and everything else will fix itself. It is really just that simple.
Our government has been purchased by the highest bidders, and what we have now is what they are willing to let us have. The richest people in this country pay virtually no taxes at all. They pay their accountants to buy them tax shelters and loopholes. The US tax code is larger than an encyclopedia. It is intentionally designed to take the most from those who have the least to give, by those who have the most to protect. We, the common people, have no say in what is done to us by our government, because our government is bought and paid for by the wealthy. We NEED a Constitutional Convention to rewrite the rules before it is too late. Otherwise, it is going to take another revolution by THE PEOPLE to set things straight. Baring this, we live in a failed State. The rich (especially the bankers) have already begun to send our nations wealth to foreign lands where they can shelter it for their personal futures.
Corporations have no morals. They will do anything they can get away with to make a profit. That is ALL that they care about. They have no civic duties, no country, no ideals, no loyalties, and no scruples whatsoever! Yet, they now own our government. And, with the latest Supreme Court decision, they don't even need to hide their control any longer. They can even brag about which politician they OWN now!
We have all recently witnessed, on live TV, the biggest heist in the history of mankind. Truth be told, we have bailed out the very banks that robbed our nation to the tune of 14-20 trillion dollars.
If we do not do something real soon, there will be nothing left for the people but generations of debt repayment. Then We The People will be nothing but slaves to the corporations who own our government - lock, stock, and barrel.
