I, like all of you, have e-mailed, called and written to DiFi and other CA representatives to express concerns about upcoming issues and votes. I, like you, received trite responses from staff flunkies, or more often, no response at all.
So, I have taken a new tact in trying to get my voice heard. I can't really say how successful this tactic is yet, but I think if others also try it, the greater the numbers, the more successful it will be.

I now call the DNC (Democratic National Commitee in Washington, sorry I don't have the number available) and I tell them that because of DiFi, and the CDP, I will no longer, 1)contribute money to them because of DiFi or other failed actions, and this could be any other screw-up. 2) I ask them to take me off their solicitation list for funds. 3) I tell them I will no longer be available to a)sign up voters, b) circulate petitions, c) work to turn out the vote,d) hold house parties, You get the picture.
BUT, what is really important here is this: Now I can tell them I WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO HELP THEM FEND OFF THE REPUBLICAN CHALLENGE THAT SEEKS TO SPLIT THE ELECTORAL VOTE IN CALIFORNIA AND GIVE GUILIANIA 20 VOTES OF CA'S 55 ELECTORAL VOTES.

If you aren't aware of this movement. The ever underhanded and malicious Congressman Darrell Issa (R) San Diego area, is part of and has given at least $100,000 to efforts by Guiliani supporters to put an initiative on the ballot to change CA law to allow the awarding of the Electoral votes (currently 'Winner-take-all) to the Winner of each district, thus effectively diluting the Clout of the California Vote. A signature drive is already underway.

The California Democratic Party, and indeed the DNC will need us 'foot soldiers' to stop this action and defeat this proposal. The need for our help makes me believe that we still have cards to play and that the DNC will take our concerns more serious than the CDP has done. It seems the CDP, in its own audacity has shot itself in the foot. They really are going to need us. But we can hold out for some kind of concession. A concession that, at least calls for reading this Censure resolution into the record and perhaps passing it. And why not pass it. It does not cost DiFi her job. It just shows her to be the fraud she actually is and shows that many CA voters care and recognize her betrayal.

I think it is a card worth playing. If there is anybody out there who knows a specifie person at the DNC to convey this dissatisfaction to, I would like to know the name.

No more money
By User from Los Angeles, CA Nov 18th 2007 at 6:37 pm PST
I and several friends have for the last few months returned every solicitation we've gotten from DNC, DSCC, DCCC, and individual Democratic Presidential candidates with the notation that we will not contribute another dime to any Democrat until they stop cowering in dark corners and start standing up and pushing back.

We see no evidence that it's doing any good -- we have not heard back from any of them -- but we'll keep doing it.

Contact CA Democratic Party HQ Directly

I went to the California Democratic Party website and found a page on the site for sending messages to them. I let them know exactly how I feel about the Senator's vote and their abhorrent behavior toward the censure resolution.

I think they need to hear from everyone. Here's the link:

Mary Ellen Early

Brilliant idea! And right on the money... or
should I say "Write off the money?" Correctomento.
No more money for the DNC until they cut war
funding and attack war profiteering.
I used to know all the players on the DNC from
CAL. but that was 10 years ago! Wow. But I do
remember Mary Ellen, she lives I believe in
Van Nuys, and I bet she would be sympathetic
and I bet she is still on- she is one persistent
woman. She has to be, her husband is a lawyer.
Good night and good luck.

Stand For Something!
By Lee Barry Nov 20th 2007 at 1:30 pm PST
So, don't vote for Senator Feinstein when she is up for reelection. But, what you are doing will only result in another Republican President, and even worse, Congress going back to Republican control. This is a dumb idea, and YOU are only hurting Democrats. Try something useful. Stand for something, instead of standing against someone!
