The gracious and disarmingly honest mentor to aspiring fashion designers on the hit TV show "Project Runway, Tim Gunn was kind enough to record this special message for Courage Campaign members.

As Tim likes to say to his designers, it's time to "Make it Work!"

If you're ready to get to work and have some fun, watch this video and then RSVP for a special "Make it Work!" Equality Team event near you.

More than 20 “Make it Work!” events are scheduled between June 18-28. Find one near you and join the fun.

Dear Courage Campaign member --

People ask me all the time what it takes to succeed in the fashion industry.

It takes talent, of course, but more importantly it takes work. Hard work.

That's what it will take to repeal Proposition 8 and restore marriage equality in California. If we are going to change the hearts and minds of people throughout the state, it's going to take you and me working for it.

It will also take fun. Lots of fun.

That's why Courage Campaign members just like you are hosting fun and informational "Make it Work" Equality Team events this week at homes across California to begin the work of winning back marriage equality.

Most of the 22 events scheduled across California -- from potlucks and parties to canvasses and meetings -- will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 20-21.

Will you join us this weekend to "Make it Work" and have some fun? Just click here to watch a short 1-minute video I recorded for the Courage Campaign community and let us know if you'll be coming to a volunteer-hosted event in your neighborhood:

http://www.couragecampaign.org/MakeItWork

The only way we can win is by building people-to-people connections across California -- not just organizer-to-organizer but voter-to-voter.

That's why these "Make it Work" events are so important. The connections you make with other Californians at these potlucks, parties, canvasses and meetings will be the glue that holds us all together as we grow the movement to win back marriage equality.

These fun events are the perfect way for you to get to know some great new people just like you -- the kinds of people who care about marriage equality and can't wait to make a difference together.

If you are willing to "Make it Work" and have some fun together, just click here to watch my short video message to the Courage Campaign community. Then RSVP and let us know if you can come this weekend to an event in your town:

Together, we'll change California and the country and realize full equality for all our citizens.

Together, we'll make it work!

Tim Gunn
