Post-Election Blues, part 1

After the disappointment of the November "shellacking" I picked myself up & wrote a message to my local Representative Darrell Issa's website expressing that as a constituent I hoped he would not spend his time pursuing an anti-Obama agenda & instead try to be a little more productive in addressing America's pressing issues. Guess it didn't go over all that well, as here is the response I received from my "representative"...
"Thank you for contacting me regarding the importance of a new agenda after the November elections. I appreciate the opportunity to respond.
The American people are demanding that their elected officials follow a governing philosophy of limited government, less spending and more accountability. In my effort to achieve these goals, I will not compromise on the fundamental principles of fiscal restraint, government accountability and transparency.
President Barrack Obama has pushed an agenda that is out of touch with the American people. While he promised to address the economy and create real government transparency, he has failed to deliver. I hope that President Obama will reflect on the message the American people have sent begin to work with Republicans to fix the pressing problems our country faces.
Thank you again for contacting me. Please feel free to visit my website at www.issa.house.gov for additional information on plans for the next Congress."
Sincerely,
Darrell Issa
Member of Congress
Thanks Darrell, guess I'll just keep talking to the wall here...
next post I'll share my response to Mr. Issa's heartfelt reply.
