Searching for some calm blue skies. All I see looking back at me Are cold gray skies in a sea of fear. They try to control all we hear, As our rights slip away, we lose all that's dear. Our blood and treasure seep into foreign sand. And we lost the moral ground on which we stand. The pictures carved in stone, images that will haunt us. To the rest of the world it sets the dangerous tone. Not in my name is all I can think of. Again and again not in my name. This is more than just a little sin, in the eyes of the world. As they see it over and over again. A new generation of terrorists have been given their religion. The guy on top always blames those below. While their lawyer's twisted truths, Allowing their real intentions to show, As they declared the Geneva Convention quaint. We just made a monster and set it loose. Now it's lies, war and torture with no restraint. While congress and the press just watch it all.
